Death to Debt

I DID IT! I PAID OFF MY CREDIT CARD!!

After 3 years of credit card debt, I finally paid it off! The funny thing is, it wasn't even planned. I was just saving my money lately, not really for any reason...it's just that I was working a lot so I didn't really have time to shop or go out.

Then one day, I looked at my bank account and thought "Why don't I just pay off my credit card?" And then, boom... all my credit card debt erased in one fell swoop.

I tell ya, I've never felt both relieved and awful at the same time in my life. Right before I clicked the little button that confirmed my payment to the credit card company (I used online banking), I looked away as I did it and asked my brother, who was sitting right there, if it happened.

"I don't wanna look....did I just do what I thought I did?"

(Silence)

"Well, if you would open your eyes then you'd see that I was nodding my head yes."

Big night for Charlie & Harry

I LOVE Johnny Depp. I didn't think he would outdo his Jack Sparrow role from Pirates... but he does in this movie. Oh my god does he ever. What a brilliant performance.

So after the movie, we went to check out the Harry Potter craziness at Chapters. It was midnight so officially the book had just launched.

And holy crap, it was MAYHEM in there. The front doors were decorated and it said "Diagon Alley" on it. The walls were decorated with thunderbolts. There were people dressed up in Harry Potter gear. The Chapters staff were donned in black robes and Gryffindor scarfs. The lineup was RIDICULOUS. It started at the entrance, went around all the way to the other side, and then back again. Ash and I wanted to get a book on shooters, but we opted not to 'cuz we weren't in the mood to wait in line for an hour. Plus, we'd just look stupid 'cuz everyone in line was holding 1 or 2 (sometimes 3) copies of the Harry Potter book.

On the plus side, we got a free gift card (sorry...a "magic card") handed out by a Gryffindor person on the way out. =)

Update on the hit & run

Okay so about 10 pm on the same day my car got hit, my dad and I went to the police station on Blair only to find out that that station was closed so we were told to goto a new station down on St. Joseph and Tenth Line. So back to Orleans we go, only to find out they close at 9 pm. Then we were told that the only police station that is open 24 hours is downtown on Elgin so downtown we go. Then we had to wait for another half-hour or so because the officer that was there was working on a big accident case so we had to wait until the next guy came in. So finally, I filled out a report and statement and we were done at around midnight!

So I get a call today from an officer saying that he called the driver that hit my car and both the father and daughter were being very billigerent and denying everything. Stupid dumb bitch. Now I might have to go to small claims court and get that spoiled bitch to pay up. There were 3 witnesses who saw her hit my car!!! Stupid, stupid, people. They think they're gonna get away with this. We'll see about that.

INT. BLOCKBUSTER PARKING LOT - AFTERNOON

I was at work today, restocking our retail section, bored out of my mind.... when suddenly...

My manager: Oh my god Brenda!! Somebody just hit your car!!

Me: WHAT?!!

I quickly run over to the window to see.

My manager: That gray car that's pulling away just hit your car!

I ran out of the store, and chased after the car. Luckily, to exit Blockbuster you have to turn around again and wait at the trafiic lights, so I was able to cut across and yell at her while her window was down.

Me: DID YOU HIT MY CAR?!!

She was with her friends. She looks at me and then turns her head the other way, obviously ignoring me... and then drives off. I squinted my eyes trying to get a good look at the license plate but I couldn't see it without my glasses. So I make my way back to the store.

Guy who was repairing the store signs: Miss! Miss! We got the license plate. Here you go.

He hands me a card with the plate number on the back and then he gives me his business card.

Guy who was repairing the store signs: And if you need a witness, here is my card.

Me: Thank you so much.

My manager, at this point is now outside with me.

My manager: Wow this is so exciting! Sorry, I know your car got hit, but this is so exciting!!

So I was pretty lucky to have my manager watching the parking lot, so I can run out and scream like a maniac. And I was pretty lucky to have the nice sign guys take down the information for me.

A couple of hours later....

Co-worker: Do you guys hear that? That guy outside our parking lot was screaming really loud and he was like pulling that woman's hair and shoving her and stuff.

My manager and I go over to the window and sure enough, there's this guy who's screaming at the top of his lungs and hitting and shoving this woman. She's just sitting on the curb looking really upset. It seems they were searching for something because they kept scanning the ground. Must've been pretty damn important whatever it was because he was pissed off outta his mind and blaming it on the girl.

Me: Should we do something?

My manager: I dunno.... but this is really exciting!!

Suddenly out of NOWHERE, a cop car comes speeding into our parking lot. My manager looks at me:

My manager: Did you call the cops?

Me: No. You didn't?

My manager: No.

Suddenly, the oc transpo "cops"/security also comes speeding into our parking lot. I guess because there's a bus station right next to our store.

My manager: Ah, the fake cops are here.

So the guy is frisked and taken into the cop car while the other officers interrogate the woman.

My manager: It's really bad that we're just standing here watching.

Me: Yeah....

My manager: But I don't care! This is exciting!

So then another police cruiser pulls in.

My manager: Oh, look there's another one coming.

Me: Hmmm....... backup?

My manager: For this?

Me: Y'know, while the police are here.... you think they'll run a license plate check for me?

At this point my shift had ended so I just went home. With my dented car.

Needless to say.... it was an "exciting day".

So I was at Britannia Beach this morning at 8am to shoot a short film....and DAAAAMN it was sooooo cold!!! It was supposed to be a nice day at the beach so I wore a tank top with capris. I was pretty much shivering and clattering my teeth between takes and turning off the shivering as soon as we start shooting again. I couldn't feel my feet by the end of the shoot. It was fun though. The film might be distributed and maybe be put online. If it does, I'm not sure if I want to link it because I hate watching myself and I don't think I was very good. Because the director kept doing only 1 or 2 takes (mostly 1) so it didn't give us much of a chance to do better on another take. Plus, the ending is a bit lame and sometimes bad dialogue makes the acting look bad. So... MAYBE I will link it if it's put online. I don't know. I'll have to watch it first and see if it turns out well.

Other than that, it was still a lot of fun. And I already made connections just from one project! lol! Paul (the director) says he wants to use some of us again for his future projects, so that's a plus. One actor produces film and he wanted my contact info for possible future projects and the guy who played my jealous boyfriend gave me his agent's number, so that's cool.

Now if you don't mind, I'm gonna go take a much needed nap.

Batman Begins

WOW.

Holy moly, this movie was INCREDIBLE!!!

I knew this movie was going to be good...but DAMN!! I didn't know it was gonna blow me away!! You don't even have to be a Batman fan to enjoy it!! By far the best Batman flick ever made. I'll even go as far as saying that this is one of the best superhero movies I've ever seen. The story was brilliant, acting was superb (can't go wrong with A-list actors Liam Neeson, Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, and Gary Oldman!), and it was shockingly realistic. Definately my favourite summer movie of the year (Mr & Mrs. Smith comes in a close second :)).

Celebrity Air

Omg.

Omg.

Y'know what I hate? Y'know what I REALLY REALLY hate?

Celebrity culture in Hollywood.

Don't get me wrong. I don't HATE celebrities. I just hate how celebrities are treated like gods and goddesses who walk the earth and the very air they breathe in is fucking SOLD on ebay.

Yeah you heard that right.

I just saw the most ridiculous, most preposturous thing I've ever seen in my whole life. Now I didn't bother to provide a link to the ebay listing because I knew that within days, the listing will be cancelled by ebay. Sure enough, I went back to it earlier and ebay already removed it. Why? Because it's STUPID that's why. This jar of "celebrity air" which was "captured" at a recent Mr. & Mrs. Smith premiere with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in attendance was being auctioned off for (last I checked) around $15,000 US. Supposedly there are people out there who actually "collect" celebrity air! On the ebay listing, there were pictures of the jar, without the lid, being photographed at the movie premiere, with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in the background. More pictures show after "capturing air molecules that came in contact with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie!", the jar being sealed with a lid, and then "specially sealed" with a sticker that says "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" on it. I couldn't believe my fucking eyes. Like.....WTF?!?! Celebrity Air?!?! For $15,000 US?!?!

Blame it on The Star System

Shit like that bug me to no end-- this fascination with celebrities. The only "celebrities" or actors I truly respect are the ones that don't take themselves too seriously and realize that, as Leonardo DiCaprio said it best, "[With celebrity culture], celebrities who find themselves at the top, start to have a false sense of their own importance [based on public and media adulation], when we are merely just entertainers for hire."

Seriously!! I mean, yeah I think Brad Pitt is hot and talented...and yeah, maybe I wanna marry him and stuff... but... nevermind... that's besides the point....
My POINT is... I'm not crazy enough to pay (not even a CENT!) of the very same air that Brad Pitt breathes in. It's just fucking air, why should I pay for it?!! I think it's so stupid that Hollywood's created this unstoppable money making machine called The Star System which dumbs people down into paying something that I could buy a car with, or could build a freakin' school in Cambodia, into paying for the very air-- no not even, the air in PROXIMITY to the stars!

Here's a thought: celebrities....are human? Just like us? They....breathe? Just like us? The same air we breathe?

Now....THAT'S a thought.

The new album is brilliant.

I fell asleep watching a documentary about huge explosions from WWI and WWII.
Summer is finally here!!! And reminiscing...

I have my own memo box at Blockbuster!! Weird. There's one for my district manager, one for my store manager, one for my assistant manager....and then one for me, lol! It feels a little weird to have a little memo box with your name on it. I feel just slightly more important now. But then again, it's Blockbuster so who cares.

It's sooooooooo BEAUTIFUL outside right now! First day off on Saturday in....well ever I think. I've ALWAYS had to work over the weekend. I am uber happy about not working on a gorgeous Saturday like today. Plans for today? Driving out of town to goto Tania's brother's restaurant. Fun small road trip!! We'll be jamming on my iPod.

Looks like I'll be going to Algonquin now!! w00t!! Well...hopefully, I still need to send in my transcripts before they accept me.

Crossing my fingers.

So lately I've been slowly easing back into acting. Going on more auditions and I've already got at least one future project in the works. The last thing I did was that small part with Paul Gross on H20 last summer, lol! Oh the memories, that was lots of fun. I was only on set for about 5 or 6 days but it was one of the most fun experiences I've ever had (well and yes, I guess because it WAS my first time on a movie set). I met so many great people in the process! Although there were days when I wanted to shoot myself in the foot so they can send me home because I was so exhausted!! I remember one scene where we were shooting in the Nepean Sportsplex, we'd been shooting for 14 hours with only a small break plus a lunch in between. When we finished, it was about 1 in the morning. Most of us went home but Paul Gross still had more scenes to shoot!! Apparantly later when I met up with the third AD (assistant director) at the cast & crew party for H20, he told me that after I'd gone home, they went on for another 3 or 4 hours so they probably finished at around 5 in the morning!

Pictures from the set:

On the set of H20

It's Lynsey Bennett, former Miss Canada surrounded by 5 guys! lol

Me and some extras in military uniforms!

As exhausting at it was, I'd still do it again in a heartbeat. A lot of people ask how actors can tolerate doing the same scenes again and again, take after take after take after take..... Well, it's really not that bad because in the end, it really is a labour of love and what you're essentially doing is act. Even if it means doing the same thing again for the 5th time. If only I can apply that logic to auditions!! :S

Well anyways summer is finally here, and here's hoping it turns out to be as fun as the last!

Fly Guy

I remember when I was a kid, I used to have dreams where I could fly. It really is the most liberating and most awesome experience ever. I remember one dream where I had to leap out of a tall building but I wasn't afraid because I knew I could fly. I was flying in the clouds and it felt so incredible. I also had another dream where I just willed myself into flying. It felt a little like Peter Pan trying to think of a happy moment after being sprinkled with that sparkly dust by Tinkerbell. It's pretty damn cool.

http://www.trevorvanmeter.com/flyguy/

That's why I think this little flash cartoon is the coolest thing ever.
Drawing at work on a boring Tuesday night.

Staring at a sketch that "Jack" made of me, I'm reminded of that scene from the movie Vanilla Sky where Tom Cruise and Penelope Cruz exchange sketches of each other. Penelope Cruz draws a funny carcriture of Tom, but Tom Cruise draws a beautiful portrait of Penelope. She is taken aback. "Is that how you really see me?" asks Penelope's character.

Well that's kind of how I feel. I drew Jack quite humorously, and he drew this really nice picture of me. Getting almost every detail down.

We were very bored at work.

Oh stupid me.

Oh my gaaaaaaawwd, I'm so broke. Damn Michelle and Tania for pressuring me into buying the Pecan Mudslide. Haha.......yeah, who am I kidding? Nobody gets pressured into buying ice cream. I love spending money but I sometimes feel so crappy about spending it after. It feels so crummy knowing the amount in your bank account has shrunk considerably by the end of the day. If it's on material items, I guess it doesn't feel half as bad because you've got something tangible to show for it. It's when you blow it all on food, that really makes you feel pissy about spending money on it in the first place. Cuz 5 hours later and you're like.....wow I'm hungry again. I left my house today at around 12:30pm for a hair appointement, then went to eat lunch with Tania, then went to Chapters, then went to the mall, and then I got thirsty, so I bought a coffee, and then finally in the evening, we (or rather Tania and Michelle) were having a craving for ice cream. So as you can see it's a little hard not to spend money on food when you're out for the ENTIRE day.

Other than feeling crappy about all that spending, it was a pretty good day. I had 2 very "stupid moments" today.

1. Tania and I were in the Chapter's bathroom and when I was done, I went over to the sink and placed my hands under the faucet waiting for the water to automatically flow down. I literally stood there for about 5 seconds with both my hands under the faucet just waiting. Tania was just sitting there waiting for me and started to laugh hysterically the moment I realized how fucking stupid I was for not turning on the faucet myself. Look, automatic faucets in malls and restaurants have spoiled me. Can you blame me if there aren't any in bookstores?!!!

2. Okay this has got to go down as one of my stupidest moments in history.

So me, Tania, and Michelle were leaving St. Laurent at the roof entrance where the top floor of The Bay is located (next to the elevator) and it's about 8pm by this time. I have an autostarter/locker so as usual, I unlocked my car from afar by pressing the little button on my autostarter. We were all walking up to my car and I noticed that it didn't work because I didn't hear it unlock and I didn't see the locks from the inside pop-up. So I tried it again. Nothing.

Michelle: "Could be out of batteries."
Me: "Hmm...maybe. Weird. I'll just use the key."

Tried the key. Key doesn't turn.

Me: "I'm pretty sure my dad uses this key to unlock the car."
Michelle: "Maybe it's one of those keys that doesn't work on the driver's side."
Me: "Yeah, maybe you're right."
Tania (on the other side of the car): Brenda, why don't you just try the key to unlock!?"
Me: "I did! It's not working!!"

I go over to the passenger side. Tried to unlock it from there. Still the key won't turn properly.

Tania: "Are we locked out of your car Brenda?"
Me: "I don't know! It's so weird, this key should work!"

I try using the autostarter again.

Tania: "Maybe it's because you're standing too close."

So I backup a few steps. Tried it again. Didn't work. Banged it on my knee a couple of times. Tried it again. Didn't work.

So anyways, this goes on for about 5 minutes. Then suddenly....

Bystander from across the parking lot: Excuse me!! Your car is back over THERE! The lights were flashing!!

A pause. I look at Michelle. Michelle looks at Tania.

Michelle: WOW.
Me: Omg.

Tania BURSTS out laughing.

Michelle: Wow.

We all walk back to my ACTUAL car. Tania is still laughing. I'm laughing in embaressment.

Me (to bystander): Thank you!!!
Michelle: Wow.
Me: Oh. My. God.
Michelle:...I....I don't even know what to say....I...wow.
Me: (laughing) Oh my god!!!!

Tania is still laughing.

Michelle: Wow.

We drive off.

Ripped from CNET.com:

Secret info foiled by Ctrl+V
You know how sometimes a Web site gives a spoiler and uses the same color font as the background so that you have to highlight the text in order to read it? That's sort of how the U.S. military is protecting classified information. Apparently, a PDF file showed up online with classified information blacked out--but not deleted--so it could be copied and pasted, then read. But we're sure all your other secrets are safe with them. Like the nuke codes and things.

AAahahaha...I'm sorry...this is just...too funny. I had to share.

Dieser Sommer Part II

Soooooo it's my day-off and I don't know what to do. I'm so bored. And I don't know what to write in this entry. I just felt like updating my LJ because there is NOTHING else to do around here. I guess I could finish that mix CD I was making for a friend. I was telling my best friend Tania the other day that we should pick some projects to do so that we won't get too bored. We talked for over 3 hours last night on the phone!!! We used to talk on the phone almost every day but before with school it was kind of hard to do that. We spent a LOT of time catching up, lol! So yeah, here's some stuff I wanna do this summer:

Summer Reading

Right now, I'm trying to finish An Actor Prepares by Constantin Stanislavski then maybe The Da Vinci Code after.

Summer Movies

Pictures courtesy of JoBlo.com

Can't wait for Star Wars Episode III!!! I'm freakin' excited about Batman Begins cuz I'm a huge fan of Batman. War of the Worlds looks weird but since I loved Minority Report, I'm confident Spielberg and Cruise will give us a good (hopefully) smart sci-fi flick. It was written by HG. Wells so it should be good. Here's hoping they didn't butcher the last H.G. Wells story like they did with that awful Time Machine movie. Mr. & Mrs. Smith - Don't even get me started about that. I absolutely love the two lead actors...and both of them in the same movie....like....wow, what a treat. Charlie & The Chocolate Factory - The original is one of my favourite movies of all time so I hope this one won't ruin it for me. And finally, Fantastic Four. Because it looks cool.

Haven't planned any trips yet but I would like to go somewhere. Maybe back to California!! lol That would be awesome. I really should put some pics of my last trip to California up here. It was so much fun! (Except when I got a really bad sunburn on my legs and couldn't surf for a couple of days AND getting stung by a stingray. That was NOT fun.

Lemme tell ya, having the poison from the stingray's tail injected into your toe is by far the most excrutiating pain I've ever been in. OH...and if peeing on my foot was a way to ease the pain, I would've taken THAT over dipping your entire foot in a bucket of near boiling hot water ANY day. Turns out, the peeing on the wound thing is for jellyfishes only. For stingrays, I had to get the poison out by putting my foot in water that is as hot as I can take it. So I'm bleeding from my large toe (and I was bleeding at a rate that would fill a shot glass in minutes), the pain is so intense that I was convinced I had a hole the size of a quarter in my toe (but I couldn't tell because it was all covered in blood and sand from the beach)....SO the only way to REDUCE the pain was to stick it in insanely hot water. In other words, it had to be MORE painful before it got LESS painful. That was shitty. What was weird is that as the minutes pass, the water started to cool down and then it would start to hurt like hell again. I think for the 2 hours I spent at the first aid station at the beach, the bucket must've been refilled like 20 times. So everytime it was being refilled for me (by hot-looking lifeguards, teehee!), my foot had to be exposed to air for a couple of minutes and that was PAINFUL!!! So yeah, it was weird because getting my foot a little burnt actually felt better! It was funny at one point when 3 of us (there were other people who got stung, not just me) we all had to refill our waters at the same time because our water was cooling down, and when it starts to cool down...it HURTS! Anyways, it took a little longer than usual because the lifeguards were refilling 3 buckets at the same time, and the 3 of us are yelling at the lifeguards "Hurry, hurry, hurry!!!" And they're like running back like mad with our hot water, lol! It was quite funny. It's THAT painful to not have the hot water. Even if your foot was exposed to air for a couple of seconds, the pain was excrutiating. I almost passed out a couple of times. All from one freakin' pissed off stingray. I didn't MEAN to step on it!!! Damn stingray.

But other that that, California was a blast. Hot guys and hot girls all around. It would be cool to take another trip like that this summer. But now that I've been promoted at Blockbuster, I'm not sure how much free time I'm allowed to book off. Anywayz, I thought I had nothing to say in this entry but I guess the stingray incident in California was worth telling.

OH and one more thing. GUESS WHO'S THE NEW OWNER OF A BRAND SPANKIN' NEW 30GB IPOD PHOTO?!! ME BABY.....ME!!

Dieser Sommer und Free iPods

So I got my first hangover of the summer. \o/

I'm not sure if it was a great idea to goto the Hot Hot Heat show a little drunk cuz I don't remember all of it. I remember most of it though and it was a cool show. The Futureheads ROOOCKED as the opening band!!! I love those brits. Unfortunately, we were a little late and missed out on Louis XIV :(

The next show that I REALLY REALLY wanted to goto was the Stereophonics show at Zaphod's but it's all SOLD OUT!! :( ARRGGHHHH!! I'm so mad. Anybody out there got tickets to that show?!! :D I'm willing to sell an arm and a leg for those tickets!

That's it for now. Oh yeah, if any of you guys want free ipods goto these sites, now available to UK and Canadian residents!!:

http://www.freeiPods.com/?r=17411371 (FREE 20GB or mini iPOD)

http://www.pvps4free.com/default.aspx?r=350662 (FREE $450 cash or 60GB iPOD photo for U.S. citizens)

And for the last FREAKIN' time. This is NOT a scam okay?!! I double checked everything! Yes, I thought it was a scam too at first but I checked it out. It is LEGIT. There are proof of ppl all over the country getting free iPods.

Here's the rundown of what this is: Basically, you sign up at the site (using the links above), and you complete at least one offer (they're mostly trial offers like Netflix or Columbia House). After you complete your offer, you get a credit for completing that offer (getting a credit just means that freeipods.com has comfirmed you went through with the offer). Then you need to refer 5 other friends to sign up under you (you'll be provided with a link just like the ones above with your own referral # attached to it so that they can keep track of who signs up under who). Once 5 other ppl sign up AND completed their offers, you can redeem your free iPod!! By the way, pvps4free.com requires you to have 10 referrals instead of 5.

It's NOT a scam because what this company is doing is legit. All they're doing is bringing in new customers for their clients. That's it. I know some ppl don't wanna do the offers but you can just cancel them (after you get your credit, of course) if you don't like the program. One of the offers I did was MyInk where you can get discounts on ink for your printer. I just ended up buying the ink cuz I actually NEED ink for my computer cuz I ran out. Yes I paid around $45 bucks for $100 worth of ink (which is good deal to begin with) BUT I'm willing to pay $45 for printer ink AND a free iPod instead of paying $400 for the iPod any day.

Also, avoid getting your account being put on hold. This can happen for many reasons:
1. Giving false name and contact info.
2. Signing up more than once in the same household.
3. Cancelling RIGHT after you get your credit. (These guys are smart, it's obvious when you do that. Just wait it out a while. Try out the program before you cancel right away. But cancel before they start charging you every month if you don't want it)
4. Spamming your link to a quizzillion email address or message boards.
5. Trying to cheat the system in any way.

Here are some helpful links if you want more info on this:

» RateTheOffers.com
(http://www.ratetheoffers.com/)
View user ratings about each offer so you know which one is the best for you!

» Wired Article about FreeiPods.com
(http://www.wired.com/news/mac/0,2125,64614,00.html)
Wired, a respected tech new source, reports on the free ipod phenomenom and its legitimacy

» Free-iPods.info
(http://www.free-ipods.info/)
Yet Another Guide to FreeiPods - freeiPods.com

»FreeiPodGuide.com
(http://www.freeipodguide.com/)
The original free ipod guide. Help, proof pics, links, news, etc.

» Gratis Internet
(http://www.gratisinternet.com/)
This is the company that runs the free product sites.
I watched the sunrise while driving home from Blockbuster.

Wow, let me tell you. Sleep is goooooooooood. I did inventory at Blockbuster last night from midnight to 6am!!!! Slept at 7am and woke up at 3pm. LOL, that's 8 hours, but now my sleeping pattern is all fucked up.

On Brenda's Mind Lately

1. Went to see Sarah Slean last night at Barrymore's. She was awesome. However, claims about her looking like she has a seizure when she performs are true. It's really weird but she's an excellent entertainer. Very funny and witty.

2. Anybody who is using Internet Explorer right now......STOP IT!! Use Firefox instead!

IE = slow, buggy, unstable, dangerous security flaws

Firefox = fast, reliable, flexible, better interface

Just remember to download all of the Firefox plugins after.

3. My mom learned how to text message!! It's so weird for someone who is a total techno phobe. Now I'll probably get msgs on my cell like "Hi honey! I'm text messaging! See u at home! :)"

4. Recently got into Podcasting. The new web phenomenon next to blogging. I use iPodder as my podcaster but it's kind of buggy right now. It's still quite a new program. I might try another program for podcasting to see if they're better. I've managed to discover some pretty cool radio talk shows with podcasting. Now I just need to get my hands on an iPod so I can listen to the radio shows on it instead of from my computer!!

5. Speaking of iPods. I think I've decided to try one of those free iPod websites. I know people might still find it a little sketchy but I'd give anything for an iPod right now. They're just so damn expensive. More on this in later posts.

6. Recently I've been thinking about my financial situation and how SUCKY it is. I've decided that I'm going to do something about it. I've started autosurfing lately.

Autosurfing:
To autosurf, or autosurfing, is a form of advertisement that automatically rotates ads in one's internet browser. The advertisers pay money to the hosts, which pay the users in a certain percentage or on an hourly basis.

We're bombarded with ads as it is everyday, and we surf the internet everyday. Why not get paid to do it? I'm really getting paid to do nothing really cuz I open the autosurfing session and I just minimize it and do other stuff while it "surfs" for me. Studiotraffic is hands down the BEST autosurfing service on the net. They've been in business for 2 years now and they have a very good reputation. I was really skeptical at first but then I visted their forum and realized how many ppl praised these guys. Right now, I'm making diddly-squat because I just started. Right now I'm only making $3/month. LOL! But if I follow the plan I've made for myself, I could be making around $300/month by December, and around $4000-$5000/month by the end of 2006!! It requires a lot of patience to get there, but I figure in 2 years I'll be 24, I'll be living on my own and I won't have to worry about paying off my tuition and student loan fees so I might as well prepare now. At the moment I owe $14,000 in university tuition fees! :S And I'm STILL not done school! So, of COURSE given my situation, if there's an opportunity for me to get rid of all that, I'm not gonna just brush it off right away. I wasn't being naiive either. I still did my research and looked into it.

In case anybody is skeptical about this program, go check their website and check their forums. It took a lot of convincing for me to sign up. But I figured, there's nothing for me to lose, and I'm not paying them anything up front. It's free to join. If you don't EVER upgrade your account to a paid one and just keep the free account, you can still work up to getting cheques for almost $400/month in about a year in a half and you don't ever have to pay a CENT. There's NO recruiting, NO selling, NO mass mailing, none of that stuff. You just autosurf. It takes me about 30-45 minutes per day to finish an autosurf session, but I'm not even paying attention to the ads! LOL. I just minimize that window and do other stuff on the net. Sometimes I'm not even at the computer during a session! Of course sometimes, there are some useful ads to look at. Anywayz, I'll be updating my blog in the next few months about this subject. And if there's anything fishy going on, I'll let you guys know too.

That's it for this entry. Peace out.
